It has been a hugely significant month for the Conveyancing Association (CA) with two major publications being launched, one of which we believe will shape and change the future of conveyancing forever.
Firstly, as part of our overall focus on leasehold transactions, and supporting consumer education and guidance around the potential Lease Administration fees that clients may be subject to, we launched our Consumer Guide on this very issue. It gained widespread coverage across both the trade and the consumer press, and has been widely praised as being of real benefit to member firms and their leasehold clients.
The second major publication was our post-White Paper Strategic Plan, ‘Building the framework for the future’ which sets out the eight workstreams we will follow in order to modernise the homebuying process. Again, it continues to receive great coverage and has been a considerable talking point in the industry and beyond. We will be providing an update on reaction to the Strategic Plan in early April.
In other news, we are delighted to welcome Paycasso as our latest Affiliate Member, while CA member firm, Convey Law, raised £50k for Children with Cancer UK, via the Conveyancing Foundation.
