Paralegal Course

The Conveyancing Academy Paralegal Course has been designed to provide delegates with a basic knowledge of property law and the procedures required to facilitate straightforward conveyancing transactions.

The Paralegal Course material has been assessed, edited and accredited by academic and practising experts and is accredited and certificated by the Conveyancing Association.

Delegates are required to work through each Module in order. There are 15 Modules:

  • Outline of a Conveyancing Transaction
  • Land Law
  • Taking Instructions
  • Proving and Investigating Title
  • Pre-Contract Enquiries and Searches
  • Planning Permission and Building Regulations
  • Mortgages
  • Exchange of Contracts
  • Preparing for Completion
  • Legal Completion
  • Post Completion
  • Leasehold Titles
  • Commonhold Titles
  • New Properties
  • Contractual Delays and Remedies

There are tasks to complete in each Module. Materials and content include an online and downloadable handbook, instructional videos and PowerPoint slides. Delegates will complete the online assessments for each Module, which are timed and graded. Progress reports on grades and usage are available to managers for all delegates.

When all modules are completed successfully, delegates receive an overall score and Certificate of Accreditation from the Conveyancing Academy.
