The Conveyancing Charity Foundation is Launched

MATTERHORN PLATINUM SPONSORSHIP

We are delighted to announce the launch of the Conveyancing Charity Foundation. The Foundation has been established to help Conveyancers raise money for their chosen charities, with the Free Legal Fee Charity Competition having raised over £300,000.00 for charity over the last five years.

Conveyancing Foundation Chairman, Lloyd Davies, commented as follows:-

“We are delighted to be able to announce the launch of the Conveyancing Foundation and our Free Legal Fee Charity Competition.

The Foundation will be officially launched at The Society of Licensed Conveyancers and The Bold Group Conference in Derby tomorrow and at the Conveyancing Association conference in London on the 3rd December.

At the start of this year we set ourselves a target of raising over £50,000.00 for the Ty Hafan Children’s Hospice through The Matterhorn Challenge initiative. The Matterhorn Challenge helped everyone in the conveyancing industry to appreciate how much money can be raised for charity with a concerted effort. We have currently raised £45,000.00 and we anticipate beating our financial target this month. Thank you to our kind sponsors and to everyone who has donated. A very special thank you to Conveyancer Geraint Aubrey for his mountaineering endeavours and hard work.

Our Free Legal Fee Charity Competition provides Conveyancers with the opportunity to raise thousands of pounds for their chosen charities each month. Conveyancers choose the charities they wish to support. They ask their clients to make a £10.00 payment to enter the competition. The cost of entering the competition is £1.00, which pays for the prize money, with £9.00 attracting 25% Gift Aid for UK tax payers, making an £11.25 charity donation. We are a not for profit organisation – with all surplus funds used for additional monthly prize draws or donated to charity.

We very much look forward to working with Conveyancers in raising funds for their chosen charities.”
