Round Table Webinar

The Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG) has launched recent consultations focused on:
Material Information – improving transparency by ensuring key information about a property is made available to buyers upfront.
Home Buying and Selling Reform – exploring solutions to make the home-moving process faster, more certain, and less stressful by tackling current delays and fall-throughs.
These consultations are seeking industry insight and evidence to shape future policy. As legal professionals at the forefront of property transactions, conveyancers’ views are essential to ensure that any changes are practical, effective, and beneficial to consumers.
Purpose of the Conveyancing Association’s Engagement
The Conveyancing Association aims to capture the opinions of all its legal members on the proposed reforms. Your feedback will directly influence the Association’s official response to government and help ensure that the conveyancing profession’s expertise is clearly represented.
Each MHCLG consultation has a defined submission deadline, and the Association will need members’ responses well in advance of these dates to form a consolidated industry position. Members are therefore encouraged to engage as soon as possible to ensure their views are included.
Upcoming Webinar Roundtable
To support members in understanding and responding to the proposals, the Conveyancing Association is hosting a webinar roundtable featuring:
- A practising conveyancer
- An estate agent
- A mortgage broker
This panel will:
Discuss the consultation proposals in detail, provide practical insight from multiple industry perspectives and answer your questions live.
This is an opportunity to hear balanced viewpoints, share your own, and contribute to shaping the future of the home moving process.
