AI is one of the most talked-about topics in the legal sector right now. But for many conveyancing firms, the key question is practical:
Where is AI actually helping with day-to-day casework today?
To explore this, InTouch recently hosted a Consultant & Influencer AI Roundtable, bringing together legal technology advisers, change and process consultants, compliance specialists, and people who work closely with law firms across the sector.
Alongside that discussion, we also looked at anonymised patterns from thousands of AI interactions on live matters inside InTouch to understand how AI is being used in real workflows.
The result is a new whitepaper:
“From Hype to Habit: Practical AI for Day-to-Day Legal Casework.”
The report highlights where AI is already adding value in everyday legal work, including:
- Drafting and refining client communications
- Summarising documents and long email threads
- Helping teams quickly understand what’s outstanding on a matter
- Explaining complex legal points in clearer, client-friendly language
One of the clearest themes from both the roundtable and real-world usage is that AI isn’t replacing lawyers — it’s helping reduce the friction around routine tasks so teams can focus on judgement and client service.
The whitepaper also explores the guardrails firms need in place for safe adoption, including human oversight, clear instructions, strong data governance, and consistent review.
