The year has started off with something of a bang in terms of ongoing activity and a number of key Government consultations that will share the sector. In January the CA issued its responses to both the home buying and selling, and material information, consultations.

The other major news has been the Ministry of Justice’s consultation on interest collection on client accounts. The CA has a response, currently with member firms, which pushed back against these proposals in the strongest terms.
