NatWest has gone live with PEXA for fee-assisted remortgages, marking a significant step forward in both organisations’ partnership and in the adoption of digital completion across the UK.

As the UK’s third-largest mortgage lender, NatWest’s implementation is expected to support greater efficiency, transparency and certainty for remortgage customers, including the potential for next-day completion on eligible cases.

By connecting the movement of funds and lodgement of title within a single, integrated workflow, the approach helps reduce complexity at completion, improve confidence in the process and deliver better customer outcomes.

This milestone builds on the partnership announced last year, with sale and purchase transactions expected to follow, supporting more customers throughout their property ownership journeys.

Fraud in property transactions rarely starts with sophisticated technology. More often, it begins with trust – a plausible email, a last-minute change, or an update to bank details at the point money is about to move.

In PEXA’s latest article, Protecting the moment money moves: practical completion controls, we share practical takeaways from our webinar series with perspectives from law enforcement, regulation and practice.

The article explores what effective controls look like in live transactions, how firms can evidence the steps they take when funds move, and where more connected workflows can help reduce risk at completion.

As Stephen Ward of the CLC noted:

“Today’s digital tools reduce risk because they provide far greater insight and security than paper-based systems ever could.”

National Conveyancing Month

As National Conveyancing Month draws to a close, it has been a valuable opportunity to recognise the professionalism, resilience and continued development across the conveyancing sector.

As part of this year’s activity, Angela Hesketh from PEXA shared her perspective on the role coaching has played throughout her career, and the value structured coaching can bring within the legal and conveyancing profession.

Drawing on her own experience, Angela reflects on how coaching can support both personal and commercial growth, helping professionals build confidence, navigate change and strengthen leadership capability in an increasingly complex environment.

It’s a reminder that alongside process and technology, investment in people remains central to the future of the profession.
