CA member firm, Boys & Maughan residential property lawyers shortlisted for a record number of awards

CA member firm, Boys & Maughan’s residential property teams and individual lawyers have exceeded all of their previous achievements in the largest award scheme in the UK residential property industry.

The ESTAS Group, which highlights the best firms for customer service involved in the home moving process, has revealed its shortlist for its 2019 Conveyancer Awards which will be presented in October by the UK’s favourite TV property personality, Phil Spencer.

In 2017 and 2018 Boys & Maughan won a total of 10 county, regional, national and individual trophies. This year we have been shortlisted in the same categories as previous years with a crucial exception. Instead of one lawyer being recognised for their individual achievements, our firm has landed six out of 18 nominations for one the coveted individual ESTAS People Awards.

  • The People Awards – Liz Dack (Margate), Liz Thomson (Canterbury), Laura Foster (Ramsgate), Peter Styles-Martin (Ramsgate), Lucy Allen (Birchington) and Phil Downer (Canterbury) have been nominated
  • Best Regional Office – Birchington, Broadstairs, Canterbury, Margate and Ramsgate
  • National Category Best Local Conveyancer Group (firms with 2-5 branches).

Conveyancing Partner Richard Durrant said: “We are thrilled with the high scores clients have given us in the ESTAS independent survey this year. Six of our lawyers have consistently attracted top marks and can rightly claim that they are amongst the top achievers in their profession. Added to this, all of our offices have been separately recognised for providing a first class service to clients.”

The ESTAS Conveyancer Awards are the only industry awards where the winners are selected purely on customer feedback.

Richard added, “Our trophies in 2017 and 2018 are an amazing reflection on our conveyancing team. To twice be named the best firm of our size in the country and now have six of the top conveyancers in our ranks, is a fantastic achievement.”
