Minerva, the intelligent client onboarding for law firms, has announced a new strategic partnership with Thirdfort, the leading client due diligence platform.
The partnership brings together Thirdfort’s market leading ID verification with Minerva’s client onboarding and engagement workflows, creating a joined up experience that enables law firms to manage client due diligence and client completed forms, law society protocol forms and other digital tasks within a single journey.
This collaboration reflects Minerva’s long standing agnostic, best in breed partner strategy and adds to an already well-established list of strategic technology partners to help law firms grow, retain customers and deliver exceptional client experience.
Minerva is developed to complement a firm’s current technology stack, rather than seeking to replace existing systems; integrating with specialist technology partners and CMS partners where they deliver clear value, while maintaining a consistent client experience across the onboarding process and beyond.
Together, Minerva and Thirdfort address a growing market demand for connected workflows that remove duplication, shorten time to instruction and improve the client experience from the very first interaction.
The partnership also carries clear commercial momentum. Thirdfort works with more than 1000 law firms across its network, while Minerva currently supports firms processing more than 18,000 matters per month.
While the initial focus is on conveyancing workflows, the partnership is designed to scale across broader legal services, aligning with Minerva’s positioning as a client engagement platform for onboarding and beyond. The shared ambition is to help law firms deliver a consistently superior client experience across all practice areas, relieving internal teams of added admin and burden.
Ben Mills, Commercial Director at Law Firm Services, said:
“Minerva has always been built to work alongside the very best legal technology, not compete with it. Partnering with Thirdfort allows us to deliver a genuinely joined up onboarding experience that keeps things simple for clients while supporting law firms to grow, retain and deliver more effectively. By bringing best in class ID verification into Minerva’s engagement workflows, we’re helping firms move faster from instruction to action without adding operational complexity.”
Olly Thornton Berry, Co Founder and CEO of Thirdfort, said:
“Law firms are under growing pressure to deliver faster onboarding whilst managing risk. Partnering with Minerva allows us to bring Thirdfort’s identity and Source of Funds verification into a wider, connected onboarding workflow cutting down on back and forth, and helping firms move from instruction to progress more quickly. It’s a practical partnership focused on improving outcomes for both firms and their clients.”
The partnership will be formally unveiled at VERIFIED, Thirdfort’s Compliance summit in London on 23 April, where more than 200 compliance professionals are expected to attend. The announcement will be integrated into a keynote session delivered by Thirdfort founders Jack and Olly, who will be sharing their perspective on the future direction of client due diligence and the growing role of AI in compliance and onboarding.
For Minerva, the partnership marks a strong start to the new financial year and reinforces its longer term strategy of turning onboarding data into meaningful intelligence for law firms.
Alongside its best in breed partner ecosystem, Minerva is investing in AI enabled capabilities that read and understand client submitted information, identify gaps or issues early, and support cleaner, more accurate data before it ever reaches the lawyer.
With Mike Walker’s recent appointment as Chief Technology Officer, the focus is firmly on delivering a step change in value, helping firms move faster, reduce friction and provide a richer client experience, without adding complexity to existing workflows.
