December saw the closure of both Government consultations on Material Information and the Home Buying & Selling System in general. The CA has issued responses to both of these and we’ll be setting out some of the key issues and solutions we raised during those consultation responses during January.

The last month of the year saw the industry digesting the contents of the late November Budget, but the CA also focused on the progress that has been made in the sector, and what might be forthcoming in 2026 as the Government reviews the consultation responses and hopefully sets out the roadmap for change.

Please review Nicky Heathcote’s blog and Beth Rudolf’s articles to see what the CA made of 2025 and what we hope to see in 2026.
