Our News Coverage | February 2017

It’s been another extremely busy month for the CA as we put the final touches to our own post-White Paper Action Plan which we will be announcing in March. The Government’s own Housing White Paper garnered plenty of column inches itself during February and we at the CA set out our support for a number of measures particularly around changes and amendments to the leasehold process.

Leasehold has been a media and political hot potato during February and Beth Rudolf, our Director of Delivery, appeared on the Victoria Derbyshire show earlier in the month to discuss the large number of issues currently being raised, particularly around new-build leasehold, escalating ground rents, and charges, especially those charged by Lease Administrators. To that end we will be publishing a consumer guide to leasehold charges early in March.
