The Digital Property Market Steering Group (DPMSG) has recently published guidance on the Smart Property Data Trust Framework Sandbox, marking an important step in the ongoing modernisation of the homebuying process in England and Wales. The initiative is designed to create a secure and standardised way for conveyancers, lenders, estate agents and other professionals to access and share trusted property data.
DPMSG, a coalition of government bodies, regulators and industry organisations working to digitise the property market, is leading this project to improve how property information is exchanged across the transaction process.
By enabling reliable digital data sharing, the framework aims to reduce delays, minimise duplication of information and support a more efficient and transparent conveyancing process for both professionals and clients.
