Conveyancing Association member, Boys & Maughan, makes the shortlist in record year for The ESTAS

Conveyancing Association member firm Boys & Maughan has been shortlisted in the biggest and longest running awards for the residential property sector in the UK, known throughout the industry as The ESTAS.

The Thanet and Canterbury solicitors are one of just three firms in the country to make the final for their outstanding customer service to clients in the ESTAS regional conveyancing firm of the year category.

Sponsored by Zoopla, the ESTAs determine the best estate agents, mortgage brokers and conveyancers in the UK through research carried out amongst customers who are asked a series of questions about the service they have received.  This year saw record entries making the competition the toughest yet and one of the biggest surveys in the UK property industry with just over 30,000 customers completing one of the online questionnaires.

Richard Durrant, Partner at Boys & Maughan said: “We’re absolutely delighted to have made it on to this year’s shortlist. We have helped close to 3,500 families and individuals move home in the last 12 months and our experienced conveyancers are passionate about the level of service we deliver to our clients. This proves all the hard work the team put in has paid off.”

The conveyancer categories are sponsored by Searchflow, one of the leading providers of conveyancing searches in the UK, and will announce the winners along side TV property expert Phil Spencer on 15 April.  The 13th annual ESTAS ceremony is to be held for the first time at the Grosvenor House Hotel where 1,000 of the UK’s top property professionals will gather to see the winners announced.  Spencer said: “Any firm that enters The ESTAS has already sent a clear message that they are passionate about customer service so to make it on to the shortlist is a huge achievement in itself.”

Simon Brown, founder of the awards, said: “It’s client feedback which determines who is shortlisted and ultimately who wins that makes The ESTAS so valuable. Our new categories for conveyancers, mortgage brokers and developers means The ESTAS now recognises the best firms across the whole of residential property sector.”

Maud Rousseau, Group Marketing & Communications Director at SearchFlow, said: “As an advocate for quality service in the conveyancing industry, SearchFlow is delighted to sponsor an event that has become synonymous with promoting quality customer service across the property sector” commented. The new Conveyancer of the Year Award is particularly relevant in today’s market as it recognises firms who are committed to providing a smooth, and efficient service during what can be a challenging experience for clients.”
