Conveyancing Association member, Fidler & Pepper, home in on top conveyancing figures

Conveyancing Association member, Fidler & Pepper Solicitors, have become one of the top 30 UK law firms when it comes to the number of conveyancing matters it deals with.

The award-winning firm, based in Nottinghamshire but with clients across the UK, had its highest number of registrations in a single month ever in December.

The Land Registry, which registers the ownership of land and property in England and Wales, has just published statistics for December 2015 which show that Fidler & Pepper lodged 246 registrations, placing it at 27th out of 4,211 firms nationwide.

Mark Slade, the firm’s managing partner, said: “The innovative ways of working that we have developed, and our dedication to customer service, have made us a partner of choice when people need conveyancing services.

“We’ve been so busy that we have been recruiting, and we are continuing to grow our team so that we can maintain our excellent levels of service.”

Over the past two years Fidler & Pepper Solicitors have been focused on developing a technology upgrade which meant that its conveyancing process became fully integrated with the Land Registry. Fidler & Pepper are one of only 12 law firms, and the only one of this size, in the UK that have fully integrated with the Land Registry to improve their processes and the efficiency of their service.

The software was developed in house so that the conveyancing team could automatically receive details of clients’ deeds early in the process, reducing any potential errors in information, and they could submit property registrations electronically and immediately.

Matt Slade, who heads up the conveyancing department, commented: “December was a very busy time for our team, and our own figures show that January was also a very strong month.

“We have added new sources of work, and, like, a handful of law firms who have a specialism in conveyancing, figures should only further increase as the property market picks up.”
