Our News Coverage | December 2016
December was an incredibly busy month for the CA which began with our annual conference that took place in Stamford Bridge. The focus throughout was on our White Paper and the panel sessions discussed a number of issues raised in the Paper including: leasehold, abortive transactions, the provision of up-front information, etc. The conference received great buy-in from all conveyancing stakeholders and the media coverage around its outcomes was particularly strong.
This month we also announced our support for the ESTAs Conveyancer Awards, plus we launched the next iteration of our Cyberfraud and Fraud Protocol, following feedback and input from members and affiliate members.
As we end 2016, the future of the conveyancing process is firmly on the agenda and the debate in the House of Commons on leasehold was also a welcome step forward. Early next month we will be announcing a list of action points from the Conference and White Paper that we will be pursuing throughout 2017.
