Our News Coverage | November 2017
November has been a month of preparation for the CA with our Annual Conference & Dinner taking place on the 7th December at Stamford Bridge, the home of Chelsea Football Club. The full details of the Conference was unveiled earlier in the month and it promises to be a jam-packed, insightful day for all concerned with a number of notable speakers.
November has also been a month of firsts, not least the fact that we were able to announce the first completion under our ‘Code for Completion’. Two CA member firms, Convey Law and Attwells facilitated the deal and we fully anticipate other members doing likewise in the months ahead, providing certainty to all parties.
This has also been a month of consultation responses with the DCLG’s ‘Call for Evidence’ due to close in just a few weeks time. At present we are formulating our final response for discussion at the Conference, and we have also responded to the DCLG’s consultation on the need for a new regulatory model for agents active in the leasehold sector – needless to say this is something the CA is fully supportive of. We will be issuing our thoughts on this consultation shortly.
