This month, the CA has focused on a degree of self-promotion, not least in terms…
Our News Coverage | July 2022
During this month we provided some of the results from the CA’s Lender Survey which offered conveyancers the opportunity to rate the engagement levels they get from a variety of lenders, and to give their views on how we might get a smoother process and reduce the number of post-valuation queries. Below is a link to the press release and a range of coverage it generated.
We also continue to focus on key workstreams for the CA including improving the home buying and selling process through, for example, upfront information, digital ID, etc, and we remain committed to modernising the process, particularly in light of the current delays that are impacting on completion times and the large number of fall throughs that are such a drain on all stakeholders’ resources, time and investment.
This month we have also highlighted the supply-side housing issues that need addressing in a couple of articles, particularly as the Government continues to introduce measures which are likely to boost demand. In September we will have a new Prime Minister, and (most likely) a new Secretary of State covering housing – the CA would like to see supply being a major focus for whoever takes over.
